I’m hot for Veep - September 4, 2008 by misguidedkid

This is a current event type thing, so I’ll post it before I back fill the historical posts. My God, I may actually have to vote Republican this year. I’m a right-leaning registered Libertarian, but I’m a little disconcerted with that candidate this year (I’ll get to him later). Basically, I’m a two issue voter: Military and Second Amendment, but only in so much as the candidate can actually AFFECT these things. As I’ve got older I’ve started to vote with my wallet a little more and I’m getting a little too tired of big government and feeling a little too much like Winston Smith (which is funny if you know my background and what I do for a living now). I’m not a member of the brainwashed masses, in other words – I’m not for or against something just because a Republican or Democrat takes the other side.

So why would I pick the elephants over the asses? This is why. These are pics of the Republican Vice Presidential Candidate, Sarah Palin. Mrs. Palin is the governor of Alaska. She’s married, has 5 kids, and while this will certainly merit attention from the Secret Service – she’s smoking hot!

Oh, she’s also going to decide this election believe it or not. A lot of the talking heads and keyboards in the mainstream media are calling this a Hail Mary by McCain, and I tend to agree. With the elections about 2 months away and a lot of these “polls” showing the race as a dead heat, McCain had to do something dynamic. And this is either brilliant or colossally stupid, but he DID something. And I think it’s going to work. read this entry »

Whores and Politicians – Strange Bedfellows??? - December 15, 2006 by misguidedkid

I’m sure that some people thought this was going to be a totally political rant, but not so much. Because my life usually isn’t that exciting and I always can find something to have an opinion about in the news, I troll news sites a lot. One of the stories I’ve been following since it broke is the ALLEGED rape of the stripper by the Duke Lacrosse Team. I never wrote it on here, so you’re going to take my word for it, but I’ve been calling BULLSHIT since Day One. And now it looks like I am, once again, correct.

To give a little background for those of you who haven’t followed the story, the Duke University Lacrosse team hired a couple of strippers for a party off campus. It was, by all sane accounts (i.e. NOT the accuser) a typical college party with drinking and strippers. Everything went fine until one of the strippers starts screaming that she was gang-raped in the bathroom by three of the team members. This story, on it’s face, didn’t sound so incredible. I mean, college boys with alcohol and hormones coupled with a heavy dose of naked sexuality isn’t exactly the recipe for wholesomeness.

The next thing I heard was that the stripper in question had been seen in the parking lot of a convenience store acting like she was as high as a kite. Again, easily and plausibly explained by saying someone spiked her drink. We still have credibility. The cops show up and take the accuser down to the local hospital, where it is determined that she has injuries consistent with sexual assault. They also found the DNA of 3 different men in the accuser and on her underwear. The stripper comes up with a story about being raped by three white guys in the bathroom. Up until now, I figured these kids were going to get what they deserved for being colossal idiots. Then it all begins to unravel. read this entry »

Damned Politicians - April 7, 2006 by misguidedkid

Alright, I’ve tried to make myself keep politics out of this from now on but somehow these assclowns keep doing patently stupid shit that fires me up. My most recent target of opportunity: Cynthia McKinney, D – GA. You have probably heard her name in the news as of late. If you have investigated this story at all, you probably agree with the tirade I’m about to start (or you should probably be targeted for sterilization as soon as possible).

Notice in the article from the AJC (her hometown paper, btw) the photos on the left. Yeah Cynthia, we can definately tell you’re the same person with just a new hairdo. Especially when you’re hurrying by the officer, yapping on your cell phone, without acknowledging anyone. And hell, it’s just the House Office building isn’t it? It’s not like if he hadn’t stopped you, and you were somebody else (like a suicide bomber) that was able to detonate, say 100 pounds of Semtex A that it could have rendered the US government impotent, right? And hey, I totally understand that after saying “Ma’am” several times (total count varies in stories) to get your attention, you ignored him (because isn’t your phone call more important than the lives of your colleagues). Then he had the effrontery to grab your arm to get your attention and you pulled away and punched him. Well hell, that sounds just like what I would have done in your shoes – if I wanted to get SHOT.

But through all that, I can’t believe that anybody with an IQ equal to or higher than yours (65, I hear) can’t see that it’s a clear cut case of RACISM. [NOTE: The AJC is one of the most liberal rags in the country, and they're bashing her] I mean, certainly they get these Capitol Police from some $8/hr security guard firm – they can’t be properly trained to act like professionals. Especially when they’re black, like the one who committed the “racist” act upon your person.

CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve now played your hole card (and who doesn’t love having a “RACE” in the hole?) only to be trumped. Those mean old racist Captial Police played the higher “We’re-right-and-now-we’re-going-to-prosecute-your-wanna-be-Zsa-Zsa-ass” card. I can almost see the meeting behind the closed doors:
